I feel blessed to have found the practices of yoga, meditation
and reiki. They have created a sacred space in my life where I can rediscover my true nature over and over again. They have
also provided me with pathways to embody my experience, observe my mind, expand my heart and realize the interconnectedness
of this world and the beings in it. They are also a lot of fun!
I began my yoga practice at
Integral Yoga Institute in New York in 2000 where I received my initial teacher training certification in 2003 and completed
subsequent trainings in Intermediate Level Hatha Yoga and Gentle Yoga. I have also trained at OM yoga in New York City where
I was introduced to the Buddhist philosophy and practice of meditation. In August of 2005, I completed the Road to OM
teacher training and taught at OM yoga for 6 months before moving to Lawrence, KS. I continue to study Buddhism and
meditation within the Shambhala tradition. Although Integral and OM will always be my roots in yoga, I continue to gather
teachings and experiences wherever I go that support and challenge my own personal practice and my practice of teaching yoga.
Reiki found its way into my heart in 2003 and weaves its way through every day of my life. I am grateful to the
inspiring group of priestesses who continue to heal me with their energy and love. I enjoy offering private sessions
and working with people to embrace their lives and their healing in a holistic way. I feel blessed every time someone
allows me to share that energetic and healing space with them. I have also taught Reiki Workshops, but continue to find
myself drawn to working with people one-on-one.
I recently finished a Masters in Religious Studies with
a concentration on Religions of the East. Currently, I am finishing a Masters in Social Work, focusing on clinical practice.
I hope to one day combine all the elements of my own experience, paths and teachings into a therapy setting so that individuals
can have the opportunity to heal on every level, to realize their own true nature which is compassionate and wise, and to
truly embody health, clarity and wholeness.
I am truly blessed in this life with amazing family, friends
and loved ones. The Universe smiles upon me each day and I am thankful for the path of healing that it has laid before me.
I hope through taking care of myself, I can bring healing, care and compassion to others.
Namaste.
